Get to know Grace

Grace Hart is a versatile artist, mover, and healer based in New Orleans. Born and raised in the vibrant city, Grace’s love for movement began at an early age, training in dance with Delta Festival Ballet and exploring theater with local companies. In 2012, she moved to New York City to further her dance studies at Marymount Manhattan College, where she earned her BFA in Modern Dance in 2016.

While rigorously training as a dancer, Grace experienced overuse injuries that led her to yoga, which became a transformative part of her journey. She completed her 200-hour RYT certification with Sonic Yoga in 2014 and worked at the prestigious Jivamukti Yoga School in Union Square, deepening her practice. After returning to New Orleans in 2017, Grace began performing with local theater companies such as Jefferson Performing Arts and Lightwire Theater, touring nationally and internationally.

In addition to her performance career, Grace has choreographed for various local productions and co-founded the Sangha Series, an outdoor yoga series in City Park. She has also taught dance at Encore Studio of Dance and Live Oak Dance, and continues to work with local theaters, including Mount Carmel Academy and Rivertown Theaters.

Grace’s path has evolved as she expanded her knowledge of movement and spirituality, leading her to pursue doula work. In 2022, she began her doula training with Sista Midwife and continued her education with Doula Love in Portland in 2024.

Today, Grace combines her passions for dance, yoga, theater, and birth work, serving her community as a teacher, choreographer, and birth doula.
